This was stated by Union Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ms. Uma Bharti, from the Independence Week 9 to 15 August 2018 and the Cleanliness Survey Rural in open open held at the Birla Campus of Garhwal Central University, Srinagar. The program was inaugurated by Union Minister Ms. Uma Bharti, Prakash Pantha Uttarakhand Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister,Deepti Rawat District Panchayat President, Arun Baron Joint Secretary, Central Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India,Sushil Kumar District Collector etc. jointly lit the lamp.
Addressing the program, Union Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Uma Bharti said that the Sanitation Survey Rural 2018 Campaign will run till August 31. In which all people’s participation is necessary. She said that all people should resolve to maintain maximum cleanliness in their area. Keeping in the ranking process, get maximum rewards. She said that the Uttarakhand state has been declared ODF last year. Now work has been done in the field of cleanliness towards ODF Plus. For which she assured the state to give more budget. She said that drinking water crisis is still happening in some villages of the state. On which work to be actively and to be done. She asked people to preserve the drinking water along with cleanliness. Said that preserve water and make protected water potable.She said that the government provides support to promote any program. But we have to keep our environment clean by understanding our responsibilities. We Should keep our house clean It is also necessary to keep the clean environment around us.She praised the work of the women of the state and said that if they decide to do the work.They completes it and leaves it. She talked about the better living of women on the hygiene survey. She also said that the people of Uttarakhand state are very soft nature and natural lovers They do not have any big dreams They have a small demand which,they give rise to the diffusion of their lives when done.She said that the government is taking women forward in the streams of development and adding them further. As well in keeping with the purity of water, along with the advice of technical experts in the construction of projects.She said some parts of the river should be left uninterrupted and left in the river.
State Drinking Water and Sanitation minister Prakash Pant said that on the basis of Baseline Survey 2012, making 100% toilets in the state, Uttarakhand state was declared as ODF in May 2017. Surveys are being conducted on the work of plans on the progress of work. Hygiene Survey of the non-intermediate villages is being conducted in which cleanliness and regular use of toilets are being done.In which the village coming to the ranking will be rewarded by the Prime Minister on all the districts having a better place in the cleanliness survey on the fiftieth anniversary of Gandhiji on 2nd October, 2019. At the same time, he gave good wishes to people from the hygiene of life and the wax release day. Said that keeping your children free from worm diseases by medicines.He said that the situation of the village has become better than before due to cleanliness. They also talked about bringing about mental change in hygiene.
Presiding over the program, District Panchayat President, Dipti Rawat, asked one step to keep the environment clean while advancing the cleanliness. She said that public participation is necessary in the rural areas to keep the drain clean. With the deployment of clean workers in large rural areas, vehicles have also been provided. Proper salvage and public awareness of solid liquid extraction management is being done.
Joint Secretary, Union Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India Arun Baroka said that a lot of campaigns have been added to the survey program organized. In which public participation was promoted. In the state, the state government has taken an important decision to ban plastic. With the formation of the ODF in 2017, the Uttarakhand state has emerged the most.He said that more than four lakh villages across the country have become ODF. He said that in the state from the chief minister to the lower level, the people’s representative and the officers and employees are working together. Based on mobile app and assessment, will be awarded on October 2. The state has stepped up its complete cleanliness.
District Magistrate Sushil Kumar said that on July 29 and 30, at the state level, cleanliness survey was started at the district level. Said that awareness campaign under continuous ICE is being run in 15 development blocks and 1212 gram panchayats in the district. Despite the difficult areas in the district, despite facing challenging difficulties, due to the officer and public participation, the district was completed by completing 47 thousand 526 toilets and made the ODF. While under Namami Ganga, 21 Gram Panchayat and three are being benefited from schemes in the city area.Under the Namami Gange, work has been done for the cremation grounds. He asked everyone to work together in the survey program. Sanitary survey Rural inspection of terrestrial is to be a public interaction through a third party survey and app. He asked more and more people to participate in the above program and get the highest position in the rank in the district.
